NATURAL WAXES
Vegetable waxes, derived from soy, rapeseed, palm, coconut, and other plants, are popular in candle-making. When certified, they can be marketed as vegan or sustainably sourced. Animal-derived waxes, such as beeswax, are renewable but not vegan. Although natural waxes are renewable and sourced from plants or animals, they tend to be softer, making candles less stable compared to those made with mineral waxes.
MINERAL WAX
Mineral wax is widely used in candle-making for its ease of use, colourless and odourless properties, and excellent scent throw. Derived from petrochemical by-products, it is not renewable but can be described as cruelty-free and vegan. Paraffin wax, a common mineral wax, offers outstanding fragrance release, consistent burn performance, strong glass adhesion, and a smooth, luxurious finish.
